Thank you for your continued support of SkyGuard.

This email is to provide advance notice that the root certificate used by your deployed SkyGuard products is approaching its expiration date. Please verify the root certificate status of your devices and complete any required updates as soon as possible to ensure continued normal system operation.

SkyGuard systems and devices use certificate-based mechanisms for secure communication. When the relevant systems and devices were initially packaged with the root certificate, its validity period was set to ten years. The SkyGuard root certificate was first deployed in September 2016 and is scheduled to expire on September 12, 2026.

After the root certificate expires, the UCSS centralized management platform will no longer be able to renew communication certificates for gateway devices, including ASWG, ASEG, DSG and UCWI, or for Endpoint clients. This may interrupt communication with UCSS and prevent the affected devices and Endpoints from being centrally managed.

In general, UCSS, ASWG/ASEG/DSG/UCWI devices—including versions 3.10 and 3.15—and Endpoint software that have been regularly maintained with patches and updates since 2024 will automatically update the CA certificate. No additional action is normally required for these systems, and they should not be affected by this certificate expiration.

To help ensure uninterrupted system operation, we recommend contacting your service provider, authorized partner or SkyGuard sales representative as soon as possible to arrange certificate verification and any required updates.
